Sherman Finishes 11th In Firestone Indy Lights Race

After not completing a single lap in last year Firestone Indy
Lights race at the Milwaukee Mile, the Panther Racing duo of Brent Sherman and
Dillon Battistini combined to run 198 of their 200 total laps in the Milwaukee
100. Sherman, running in the No. 16 Delphi National Guard machine, took the
checkered flag in 11th, while Battistini crossed the finish line in his No. 15
Alexp car in 14th.
Sherman, who dropped to 12th in the championship standings,
struggled with his car, but was pleased with the effort of his team.
Like his teammate, Battistini had issues with his car, but still
managed to close the gap between him and the championship leader, Richard
Antinucci. Battistini is now just a single point out of the lead for the Indy
Lights Championship.
The Firestone Indy Lights drivers will have three weeks off before they hit the track in Iowa for the Jeld-Wen 100 on June 21st. The race will air on ESPN2 on June 26th at 5:30 p.m.
