Sherman Qualifies 18th At The Glen

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (July 4, 2008) – Starting in the 18th spot, Sherman will try to use his experience at Watkins Glen from other racing series to gain positions in the race and in the championship standing, where he currently sits in eighth.  Aiming for his third Top Five of the season, the Panther driver will try to maneuver his way to the front.

Sherman’s speed of 119.747 put him in the 18th position.

Brent Sherman, No. 16 National Guard Delphi (Firestone Indy Lights):

"We were slow. We made some changes to the car after practice that didn’t work. The car just didn’t feel as good.  I think that we are going to go back to the practice setup.  We were slower in qualifying than we were in practice, and it shouldn’t be that way. Tomorrow is a new day though, and we have two races where we can make up positions and points.”
