Sherman Qualifies Top 7 At Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 12, 2008) – Driving on a track where he has had past success in stock cars, Sherman qualified his machine in the seventh position with a two lap average of 179.100 mph. Although Sherman also turned his two fastest laps of the day during his qualifying attempt, the Panther driver thought he could have posted a better time.

Brent Sherman, No. 16 National Guard Delphi (Firestone Indy Lights):

“I am a little disappointed with the run. It is the same old deal. We have a good car throughout practice, but we get killed in qualifying. All I can do is put the pedal all the way down. It’s obviously not the guys, we just lose speed somewhere along the line. We are just going to have to fight through traffic and make our way to the front.”
