BRENT SHERMAN AND TEAM BIG LOTS! CARFAX 250 PREVIEW
Spartanburg, S.C. (August 15, 2007) –
Looking to rebound from a 30th
place finish in Watkins Glen, Sherman and the McGill Motorsports team are
looking forward to Michigan, where both have seen success.
The McGill
Motorsports team has collected two, 22nd place finishes, while
Michigan International Speedway is the sight of Sherman’s first career ARCA
Series win in 2006.
"I am looking
forward to going back to Michigan. I won my first ARCA race there last year
and MIS is a track that I really enjoy racing on." Sherman said. "It is a
fast 2-mile oval with wide turns and long straight-aways that provides for
great racing." Sherman continued, "We are looking to pick up some momentum
this weekend going into the last ten races of the season and I feel like
Michigan is a place where we can do that."
The # 36 Big
Lots! Chevrolet hits Michigan International Speedway on Friday, August
17th at 1:10 PM (ET) for the weekends first practice session, while final
practice is scheduled for 4:45 PM (ET). Qualifying begins Saturday, August
18th at 11:10 AM (ET).
Television coverage for the
Carfax 250 begins at 3:00 PM (ET) Saturday, August 18th on ESPN2, with the
green flag scheduled to drop at 3:30 PM (ET). Live radio coverage can be
