Brent Sherman and the No. 36
McGill Motorsports team had one thing on their minds going into California
and that was to regroup and get back moving in the right direction. They did
just that with a 22nd place finish Saturday night.
"We
have had a tough time over the last several weeks, so even though we are not
satisfied with running 22nd, this is definitely a step in the
right direction." Sherman said.
Now Sherman is
looking to keep his No. 36 Big Lots! Chevrolet moving forward.
"Richmond
is a difficult place to pass," Sherman said. "It is another short track that
if you do not qualify well, you can find yourself down a lap early on."
Sherman continued, "As long as we qualify well and stay out of trouble, we
should be in contention to have a good finish."
The # 36 Big
Lots! Chevrolet hits Richmond International Raceway on Friday, September
7th at 8:30 AM (ET) for the first practice session, while final practice is
scheduled for 10:10 AM (ET). Qualifying begins on Friday at 4:05 PM (ET).
Television coverage for the
Emerson Radio 250 begins at 7:30 PM (ET) Friday, September 7th on ESPN2, with
the green flag scheduled to drop at 8:00 PM (ET). Live radio coverage can be
